Clara brings an energetic and multifaceted background in emergency medicine, clinical coordination, and military service to her role at GentlePsych. As a nurse, she supports both patients and providers, helping with labs, charting, prescriptions, and overall care coordination. With a calm presence and a commitment to learning, she’s playing a key role in shaping how nursing support evolves within the GentlePsych team.

Clara’s healthcare experience spans the ER, ICU, EMS, the military, and clinical research. She is currently working in the Emergency Department at Doctors Hospital and is known for her strong clinical instincts, communication skills, and compassionate patient care. Her varied background allows her to connect with patients from all walks of life.

Her journey to GentlePsych began while completing nursing school clinicals, where she met co-founder Lauren and was immediately inspired by her warmth and passion for mental health. Clara believes mental health is a critically underserved area of healthcare and is committed to ensuring patients feel heard, cared for, and respected.

Outside of work, Clara enjoys hiking, kayaking, and spending time outdoors. She’s a proud mom in a blended family with six children—two of whom have significant mental health needs, and her lived experience as a caregiver helps her empathize deeply with the families GentlePsych serves. She also shares her home with two dogs, a cat, and a snake.

Currently beginning her graduate studies to become a Family Nurse Practitioner and eventually a PMHNP, Clara is eager to grow within the field and hopes to return to GentlePsych in a provider role one day. Her philosophy is simple: treat every patient as you’d want your own family to be treated, with kindness, patience, and presence.
